Compliance status

Our platforms are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
  • 4.1.1 - Parsing is a success criterion under the "Robust" principle. It focuses on ensuring that web content is written in a way that assistive technologies can reliably interpret. We have done everything within our power to make our platforms comply but some content and functionality provided from third-parties must be resolved by said third parties. As such, we cannot be sure when these issues will be resolved.
  • 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) & 1.4.3 Contrast Minimum - The embedded Twitter plugin does not fully comply with WCAG 2.5.8 and WCAG 1.4.3 guidelines. As this is a third-party tool, its compliance is outside of our control. We are actively investigating alternative solutions to improve accessibility.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.

Live video

We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We continuously monitor website and application accessibility trends and aim to resolve the third-party compliance issues as soon as possible. We are also committed to making all new website content and features accessible.

We have recently conducted a full WCAG 2.2 accessibility audit, completed on 10th June 2024, to identify any additional issues; the problems identified from the audit have be actioned appropriately aside from the non-compliances listed above.

If you would like to provide feedback about the accessibility of the website then please contact your Person Advisor.

Developments to the website in line with user feedback about accessibility will be evaluated in line with what is likely to make the largest impact to our users and the cost of achieving these objectives.
